The Agroecology Learning alliance in South East Asia (ALiSEA) is supported and coordinated at national and regional level by GRET ( ALiSEA’s goal is to enable local and regional agroecology stakeholders to leverage one another’s expertise to produce evidence based studies and share them broadly to support a regional transition towards agroecology.

ALiSEA is part of a wider program, Towards an Agroecological Transition in the Mekong Region (ACTAE), funded by the French Agency for Development (AFD) and coordinated by CIRAD. This later is also responsible for the other component of the program addressing the Conservation Agriculture Network in South East Asia – CANSEA ( ALiSEA works at local and regional level alike, and currently counts four countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.

Long Dinh Fruit Research Center (LDFRC) was founded on 26 March 1994 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Then LDFRC was reorganized and upgraded to be the Southern Fruit Research Institute (SOFRI) under the decision No. 1056/1997/QD TTg on December 9 th 1997.
